Queen Bailey is a NY native. She earned a B.S. in education (minor in history and political science) from Virginia Union University (VUU) where she played basketball, volleyball and softball. She received her master's degree in educational leadership and administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.

After college, she taught in Henrico County Public Schools (Richmond, VA). She then became a collegiate athletics administrator and held roles as head volleyball coach, compliance officer, SWA, and associate athletic director for women’s sports programs.

She served as an assistant principal at Douglas Freeman High School (Richmond) and became senior coordinator of student conduct for HCPS.

Queen is Chief of Staff of Life Coach Academy (LCA). An advocate for community development through education and opportunity, she is on a fast track toward serving youth through higher education initiatives and the Act Now CARE program. 

Queen is married to VUU alum Michael Bailey and has two children. She and Michael founded LCA with the mission of giving students access to positive role models and mentors who will lead our nation to building stronger communities.

A golf tournament benefitting LCA will be held June 7, 2024, at Kings Mill Golf Resort and Spa in Williamsburg, VA.
