In June 2022, Arnika Edwards was named Asst. AD for Student Career and Leadership Development at Stony Brook University. Previously, she was Director of Basketball Operations on the Seawolves' women's basketball staff. She's responsible for creating, administering, and implementing innovative programs for all student-athletes in multiple areas within the Athletics department.

Edwards has spent over 25 years involved in sports. She was a two-sport student-athlete at Alabama A&M University, high school head basketball coach, first black female school district Director of Athletics in the state of Alabama, Director of Administrative Support Services at Auburn University, and Director of Operations at University of Dayton.

She graduated from Alabama A&M University with a B.S in Mathematics and a minor in Physics. She earned her M.A. in Mathematics Education from the University of Montevallo and MBA from the University of Dayton. A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., she is married to Ronald Edwards and has a daughter, Chanel.
