In the essay, On the Nature of Dreams, Jung goes into great detail explaining his ideas regarding psychic energy and the unconscious.  He was able to take a human characteristic such as dreaming and deepen our understanding of its relationship to living a healthy psychological life.

In this essay, Jung defines how he looks at a dream, gives examples of his own patient's dreams and states his own vulnerabilities in doing dream interpretation.  He models for the listener how one can become empowered in learning how to interpret one's own dreams.
