UCLA DL Eli Ankou signs with Texans

UCLA defensive lineman Eli Ankou has signed with the Houston Texans of the NFL.
Ankou was the second-ranked prospect in the final version of the CFL’s scouting bureau,
The Ottawa native played a total of 38 games during his collegiate career and Ankou started 19 games during his final two seasons. He recorded 91 tackles, eight tackles for a loss, three knockdowns, 1.5 sacks, one fumble recovery and one blocked kick while with the Bruins.

2015 - Saw action in all 13 games and made 11 starts ... Entered the starting lineup after an injury to Eddie Vanderdoes ... Finished ninth on the team with 47 tackles ... Ranked tied for fourth on the team with 5.0 tackles for loss ... Had at least five tackles in six games ... Had season-high 2.0 tackles for loss vs. UNLV ... Had at least five tackles in six games ... Had season-high of seven stops against Colorado ... Recorded six tackles at Stanford ... Had five tackles vs. USC and Nebraska.

2014 - Saw action in all 13 games as a reserve on the defensive line and on special teams units ... Credited with five tackles and 1.0 tackles for loss ... Made a tackle for loss vs. Stanford.

2013 - Worked hard to rehab his injury and made his way back on to the field for the last few games of the season on special teams and on the defensive line. Credited with one tackle on the season in his three games played.

2012 - Did not see game action in his first season in the program.
