IMPERFECTION From birth we are bombarded with images, Magazines with the perfect bodies on pages. Flickering screens with thespians so lovely, None wants to be identified as ugly. Society has it's accepted high bars, Slim and trim or sexy and curvy are stars. Too thin or too fat brings you whispers, Women so fast to forget the bond of sisters. Mean comments fly on social media, Soon as that picture goes up of Felicia. Never mind the person who is depicted, Or how this may get them heavily conflicted. So many derogatory comments fly free, So many perfect onlookers sipping tea. Somebody somewhere looks in a mirror, "That looks just like me..." is their thought in horror. How many must go through this ignominy? When do we learn to love others in true harmony? Pontiak (Image... Girl in the mirror by Norman Rockwell)
