Bias of bible-God strikes female Miriam with leprosy

Why God elects to strike Miriam [sharply or forcefully] in such prejudicial way and over a trivial sibling's matter. Is the bible speaking about the cosmic creator, or of a fictional contrivance ? (1) In the holy bible,  Numbers 12: 9 - 10 it is written; " And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed. And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow : and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and behold she was leprous."  (2) Is it a coincidence, God made man "prelate" over woman--as is obvious in the original curse, Jesus' 12 disciples and Miriam.
