Rayven Amani,a vocalist from Jamaica was restricted by her parents from watching television or listening radio because their strong religious belief had them think that such things are instrument of the devil used to influence persons to do wrong. Raven recorded her first song “Wanna Be Free” for producer Richard “Goofy” Campbell which received favorable rotation from must of the local radio and television stations. . This musical rebel did not only want to sing but become a media personality as well, so she made her way into television and radio by becoming the host of a video show on Yaad Beat Cable TV, and co-host of the popular discussion programme "Chat to mi" on Roots 96fm for a few seasons. Rayven has displayed her flair on the run way and was a poster girl for Volks Wagon (VW) motor vehicle in the late 1990’s. At present the raving song bird is in the studio working with producers Barry Ohare of worl-a music productions , Shirmoler "Bash" Allen of Survival house studio and Othniel "Taddy P" Campbell of Bass inna yuh Face productions, while co-ordinating events and activites for Planet Unleash Cafe in Montego Bay .....She now has three singles in rotation on various sound systems and radio station locally and abroad as far as Germany... Her career is being guided by Imperial Bash Records who is ensuring her increasing presence on the local entertainment scene
