Part 2 of interview with Alain Washnevsky

Chanti interviews Alain Washnevsky after his eventful month competing in the World Championships of Public Speaking in Kuala Lumpur. Alain joined Toastmasters in October last year and after only four months competed in and won his club contest. He went on to win the Area, Division and District contests and qualified for the semi-finals in Kuala Lumpur. After working on a movie in Bulgaria, he returned to Los Angeles with only weeks to spare before the semi-finals. With limited time to go, he had to work on a second speech for his finals speech and the pressure was on. In spite of the pressure, Alain sailed through the semi-finals and this qualified him to compete against the top 9 speakers in the world. Although Alain did not win the coveted title, his achievement is not lessened. The winner of the World Championships won after ten attempts at the title. Alain is an actor and has a bright future ahead of him. We are so proud to have been able to work with him.
