Candace Salima talks "My Father, My Patriot"

My father was 4-years old when Adolf Hitler's armies invaded his homeland, the Netherlands. The nation fell to Germany within 8 hours and therein followed 6 years of unmitigated hell.

 

My father came to America at 19-years of age. Became a citizen as soon as he was able, and became the fiercest patriot I have ever known. He taught his children what to watch out for, and cautioned us to not allow it to happen here.
