It appears to have become fashionable, common place, acceptable for some to be a bully. Bullying has had a traumatic impact on many young lives, families, friends and communities of those who are victimized by a bully. In the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia a community held a vigil for a 10 year old youth who committed suicide by hanging after having the worst day of his young life. An 18 year old fatally shot herself in front of her family at their home in Texas. The family stated she took her life after months of cyber-bullying on social media, including fake profiles offering sex. In Winter Haven, Florida, two girls ages 12 and 14 were arrested in the death of a 12-year-old girl who committed suicide after being bullied online for nearly a year.
