Over the previous year, BSA's internet investigations team has toured the country interviewing software pirates from various backgrounds. These individuals shared their stories with BSA, detailing how they became involved with online piracy; the unscrupulous actions they employed to sell illegal software to unsuspecting consumers; and ultimately the negative consequences that resulted from their actions. BSA has presented the story of software pirates and now feels it is time to tell the story of the “good guys” at the forefront of the war on software piracy. Jason Calhoun, Enforcement Manager for Rosetta Stone Software will discuss the problems and threats that illegal software piracy poses to the software development industry as well as how individuals can identify and stop the use of pirated software.
