Mary became involved in the UFO/Abduction phenomena whilst studying for an advanced diploma in counseling. The lack of professional support for this experience was instrumental in her forming the first Professional support network in Australia, the Australian Close Encounter Resource Network (ACERN). She has lectured internationally on and produced the award winning documentary "Expressions of ET Contact-A Visual Blueprint." She is also a clinical member of the Academy of Clinical Close Encounter Therapists (ACCET) in America and committee member of the Australasian Society OF Psychical Research (ASPR) and UFO research (UFORUM) in West Australia. Mary Rodwell quickly discovered that there were lots of people experiencing close encounters of the extra terrestrial kind and they all needed her open-minded attitude to help cope with the trauma of these experiences and consequent ridicule and ostracism. Rodwell has evaluated hundreds of experiences and believes people who say they have had alien contact, should be treated with respect, not ridiculed.
