Tadd Sutton Founder & President Tadd Sutton experienced drug addiction and homelessness early on in his life. His life turned around dramatically when he “hit bottom” and called out to God for help. He mentioned in his prayer that if God would save him amidst the pain of his brokenness that he would serve the poor and destitute the rest of his life. With compassion and passion, Tadd Sutton strives to improve the lives of the world’s poor, as his 30+ years of executive non-profit leadership and development experience demonstrates. His involvement in international and domestic philanthropic causes has taken him to 28 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and South America, and is highlighted by his extensive service in Ethiopia, Africa during the 1985 famine relief efforts. Focusing on the poor and homeless of inner-city “Skid Row” areas in California since 2000, Tadd served as V.P. of Development for CityTeam Ministries in San Jose and the Union Rescue Mission and Weingart Center Association in Los Angeles’ Skid Row area. Tadd is a tested and true executive leader who has served on executive teams within the nonprofit sector throughout his career. He has successfully designed and launched national and local fundraising programs that encompass direct mail marketing, communications, public relations, major gifts, planned giving, volunteer management, capital campaigns, special events, and Board development. Tadd and his family founded Leaven of Love in 2007 as an avenue to fulfill their calling to help the homeless individuals and permanently housed residents of Skid Row. Tadd is available for speaking engagements at your organization, business, or group. You may reach him at tadd.sutton@leavenoflove.org. He is a graduate of Taylor University in Upland, Indiana.
