We are pleased to have Marquiepta Odom join us this week! She is the Director of Abused Women Shelter Services at the YWCA of Memphis. As a teenager, she was exposed to domestic violence in her home. She was a silent victim of domestic violence in her early twenties. Today she is victorious, empowering women to become self-sufficient and helping them to overcome their past hurts and pain. She believes there is purpose beyond the pain as she helps rebuild lives and help ladies walk in victory.

Graduating from Bethel University with a Bachelor of Science in Management and Organizational Development, Odom has a variety of roles in the community. She is the co-founder of Circle of Life Transformation Center, a nonprofit for family sustainability, domestic violence, felon reentry, and home ownership.
