Our African American "Family Room" Discussion to be held at "Our Place" on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 9:00 PM will focus on this quotation from The Honorable Dr. Booker T. Washington: "Freedom, in its largest and broadest sense can never be a bequest; it must be a conquest...Among the fundamental principles which all of us will agree is that every race of people must have enlightenment, must have education, a thorough education---and when I say "education" I mean that education which is most modern--that education which is best adapted to the needs of the country in which those people live".  The critical question is, "How can the African American Community" meet our needs in the areas of Education, Health, Economics, Family Relations and Child Welfare?".
