Former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley,  who nurtured and guided the Chicago Bike Program during his tenure, articulated the goal of Chicago becoming known as the most bike-friendly city in the United States.  New mayor, Rahm Emanuel, and his Department of Transportation Commissioner, Gabriel Klein, have enthusiastically embraced that goal and Mr. Emanuel's administration has already authored some exciting initiatives designed to enhance to the City's bicycling culture.

Bike In The Fast Lane Chicago is inspired and challenged by this goal and will work with the City of Chicago and its Biking Community to bring that goal to fruition.  Join Blogger&Biker as they discuss news, trends and items of interest to the biking community of Chicago and at-large.
