Host Adilah Barnes rounds out Black History month with her guest, 6-time Grammy winning star Florence LaRue of the renowned 5th Dimension. An original member of The 5th Dimension, Florence continues to perform, lecture and serve as a celebrity judge for beauty pageants, such as Miss Universe.  A mother, grandmother, speaker, actress, vocalist, and humanitarian, LaRue is a  sought after lecturer and speaker. She appeared in the CBS movie, “Happy” with Dom DeLouise and performed in the national tour of Broadway’s Tony Award winning musical, “Ain’t Misbehavin’” and starred in the Toronto production of “Mo Magic.”  She appeared as a celebrity guest on “Star Search,”  “The Dale Evans Show,”  “The Today Show,” & “The Carol Lawrence Show.”  She graduated California State College with a Bachelors in education.  Ms. LaRue was named Woman of the Year by The City of Hope, and won the Spirit of Life Award. She is writing a book and her one woman show is entitled, “Just As I Am.” 

Adilah Barnes was in Prime Suspect, and Cold Case. TV credits include Gilmore Girls, The Agency, Family Law, etc. Films include: Murder, Erin Brockovich and Little John.  Anne Marie on Roseanne, her one-woman play, I Am That I Am: Woman Black, features several historic women.
