In June 2013, I was selected to be a part of the Marathon of Excellence which is a network of powerful entrepreneurs in based in the DMV area. We all traveled to the Power networking Conference. There I got a life changing opportunity. Mr. George C. Fraser; Author, Speaker and Networking Guru, was offering the opportunity to be a co -author in an upcoming book.

Realizing this was something that I needed and was told to do several times I listened to what Mr. Fraser was saying and knowing what I know about Mr. Fraser and myself, I realized that I had to be a part of this book. Upon learning the details I realized that this is ME. I saw the vision and I applied and went through the screening process and was immediately accepted to be an author in this powerful book along with Mr. Fraser, Susan Taylor of Essence Magazine and Dr. Randal Pinkett of the Apprentice. Knowing what I knew of them, I realized this was an awesome opportunity.

Later on it was announced that Mr. Les Brown was selected and working cooperatively in this inspirational and motivational book that asked the other 35 co-authors, “what is your greatest failure that you’ve experienced in life and how you overcame? So I tell my story in this book of why you can and must overcome any and all adversity. My experiences from growing up in Baltimore, MD, in the streets as I say and how I came to be connected, studying with and working with some of the most powerful and most intelligent scholars in the African-American community.
