ABOUT ANGELA BURTON

Angela Burton's long history as a professional vocalist and entertainer afforded her a release of her debut album entitled, "Passion and Pain".   Her strong work ethics - love for God - strong faith, and determination also played a major role in the success of this project.

Discovered by the late Harold Melvin (Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes), Angela got her professional start at age 5.   At a young age, she performed at bars such as Club Harlem in Atlantic City and headlined for THE STYLISTICS, BLUE MAGIC, TEDDY PENDERGRASS, PHYLLIS HYMAN, THE DRAMATICS, THE HEATWAVE BAND, RAY GOODMAN & BROWN, THE MARVELETTES, THE SHIRELLES, PIECES OF A DREAM, STANLEY TURRENTINE, BUSTER WILLIAMS, MANDRILL BAND, WAR, COMMODORES, and ERIC NOLAN OF THE O’JAYS.

Angela also performed for U.S. soldiers in 35 different countries while travelling with the United Services Organization (USO) and U.S. Department of Defense.  From Korea to Cuba, her travels took her back and forth from her hometown in Atlantic City to locations around the globe. ---   In 2017, Ms. Burton received a Hometown Achievement Award and a Key to Atlantic City, which was presented by Mayor  Don Guardian.    She also performed for Mayor Frank Gilliam, Former Mayor Lorenzo Langford, Senator James Whelan, Governor McGreevey and the Ambassador of Panama.
