DEUTERONOMY 7:6 DESTROY THE “gods” OF THE NATIONS

“6For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth”.

            QUESTION: What honor did God place upon Israel?

            ANSWER: God had established a covenant with them that He had not done with any other nation upon the earth.  He made them His very own personal possession. As sinners they were no different than any other nation.  The first difference was God’s mercy that He chose them and the second was His grace by which He caused them to grow from the seventy that came into Egypt, multiplied them and sustained them out of His love and by His might.
