This is Beyond the Airwaves: The Infinity Project, where we go beyond the mainstream media and tackle issues that don't seem so important to the major networks.

Back in the baby boomer days and going into the 1980s, the terms nerd and geek were meant as derogatory terms for those who were smart or socially awkward. Today, though, those two words are more acceptable than ever, and being either a nerd or a geek has become a compliment. We'll discuss the evolution of nerdiness from something bad to something genius. With time permitting, we'll talk about other interesting topics.
