In this episode we are going to talk about who we are, what we do.  Basically introduce ourselves.  We are preppers, survivialists, homesteaders, and just practical frugal people.  We hope to share what we are learning as we strive to become a sustainable self sufficient homestead and we focus on transitioning back to the land and back into balance with nature and this planet we live on.

Then we would like to talk about how to pick a location for your homestead.  The things we considered when we moved last May, why we chose the location we did, and litte about what it took to pull it off so far.  We hope you will join us as we talk about that process, the pitfalls, and how we arrived at this place.  We hope you will find it helpful.  As always check us out on brepreparedchannel.blogspot.com for our daily news feed from around the web, and as we post articles, reviews, tips, tricks, and helpful tips.

You can find the notes and details on this topic at our blog:

In this blog post we detail out some of the criteria used to pick a location that is suitable for our homestead goals.  We outline the basic criteria used to narrow down the list of states that were on our list.

In the next episode here on blogtalkradio we will go into these details and then elaborate into the finer details of our evaluation process.  We hope you will find this information useful in your own homestead location search.  I know for us it was a long and tiring process.  Hopefully this information will make your decision a much easier one.
