The Imperial Court of New York is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that has donated over a million dollars for LGBT, social and youth organizations since its inception in 1986. The Court has gained recognition in the tri-state New York City region for the tireless work it has done on behalf of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. Their most lavish event Night of A Thousand Gowns is held annually to benefit a different organization each year. Over 1,000 individuals from across the world attend the event for a worthy cause. The 2011 event will be held March 26 at the Marriot Marquis to benefit The Ali Forney Center which houses homeless youth and The Trevor Project a national suicide hotline. Aurora Jonez and Bent Radio welcomes Emperor Gabriel Della Notte & Princess Royale Bonbon LaRue members of the Imperial Court of Ney York, to discuss this magnificent event and the mission of the volunteers behind it.
