Welcome To The Beautiful Butterfly Cafe Presents: A Poetic Night with ThaSongbird and The African Buttafly.

The FIRST HOUR we will be Joined by
Theresa tha S.O.N.G.B.I.R.D.   Hailing from Chicago, IL and currently residing in Atlanta GA, Theresa
carries an air of southern hospitality and true Windy City wit.  As an
artist, educator and entrepreneur she is constantly creating and
giving back. Champion poet at age 18 she has re-invested that passion in the youth, coaching acting and publicspeaking for 6 years.  Her students have won several awards and hold 3 state championships in Illinois.  Theresa also volunteers feeding Atlanta's homeless community with Ayudagente, and she sponsors her own charitable showcases to benefit Aniz, Inc. to aid the impact of AIDS/HIV in the African American community.

The SECOND HOUR- we will have the African Buttafly herself aka Ugochi Nwaogwugwu. This Chicago native is an international singing sensation. A child of Nigeria, West Africa, Ugochi has grown into a full-fledged singer and songwriter comfortable enough with her talent for sound and the absence of it. A former rapper, turned poet, gone singer, She performed with acclaimed artists such as Common, Malik Yusef, J. Ivy, Eric Benet, Michael McDermott, Edwin McCain, Maxi Priest, Umphreys McGee, and most recently John Legend and Femi Kuti.
