The American Revolution didn't start out of the blue on April 19th, 1775. It was not a spontaneous uprising of farmers who swarmed on the British Regulars that day as a careful manipulation of history by the men who handled recording the history would lead us to believe. There were many factors involved in getting 22,000 men under arms and marching-running towards Concord that day. When two bodies of people begin on a course of actions that lead them to become embroiled in conflict, they become involved in a choreographed dance that can push them ever closer towards an eventuality of war if left unchecked. This is what happened in the Colonies in the years leading up to the Revolution and culminated in the events of April 19th, 1775. At any point the two sides could have chosen different answers to the difficulties they were facing but they didn't. The answers chosen were those that fit inside the channel that would lead to war. They made choices based on what they knew and what they had to work with. We have choices we neeed to make today as Americans and we need to make sure we are making the right ones. How do we makes these choices and how do we make sure they are the right ones? How can we increase the choices we have available to us? How can we make sure that the liberties and freedoms that those men and women secured for us so many years ago remain as part of our heritage and are handed down to our posterity? These are the questions we should be asking ourselves these days and making sure we are working towards answering them after we ask ourselves. If you would like to become a part of the answer and become a better American I can help you. Become part of the Appleseed Program and start living the life of a "Rifleman" Join us tonight as we discuss the questions we should be asking ourselves and the possible answwers we have to work with.
