Hebrews 4:14-15

In today's message we continue to examine Christ's powerful role as Intercessor on behalf of the Body of Christ. John chapter 17 entails Christ's prayer of interession to the Father regarding unity. Christ prayed that the Church be one just as He and the Father are one. He also prayed for oneness between He, the Father and the Church. Christ is calling for a perfect unified Body and He shows us by His example that intercession is the tool to bring about the will of God. The key to continually interceding after God's heart is that we must lay down the things we desire for the benefit of others (John 15:13). This teaching helps the Body of Christ to move away from ignorance, hypocrisy and deception and into embracing the power of this great Covenant of Intercession.
