FOLLOW THE STAR: THE WISE STILL FOLLOW

MATTHEW 2:1-12

In this teaching we will look at the journey of the wise men and compare it to our present day journey as seekers and followers of Christ.

The call and journey of the Wise Men looked like this:

The Journey & Goal (from God)

Another Call: Direction and Deception (from Herod)

Refocus (the Star Reappears)

Worship (Giving Gifts)

Redirection (Warned in a Dream)

Our call must be from God alone (not another man or ourselves). We must not allow distractions or deception to deter us from that call. If we do, we must quickly refocus by fixing our eyes on Jesus and wholeheartedly following. Any encounter with the Living God is enveloped in worship. Finally, we must be committed to not returning to our own way because the voice of God will always lead us into safety and it is all for His Glory alone!
