Paul begin to tell them the story of their past; having failures that yet manifested God love for them. The kingdom of God required a different attitude of the old in order to accept the new. The old lean towards the arm of flesh; while the new was empowered with the anointing a fresh poured out through Grace that one must choose to embrace.
