Act One - Episode Two
Synopsis: In a world where literacy is outlawed and people are dependant on technology, a fireman who burns books for a living eventually changes his perspective and strives to do something about it. In this episode, Guy Montag's wife Mildred has recovered from her drug overdose yet still remains oblivious to the event even when pressed on it by her concerned husband. Clarisse, the young girl he met on his walk home previously, insinuates herself into his daily lifestyle and a friendship grows between them with her influence slowly affecting how he sees things. Awareness and insatiable curiosity growing, Guy ends up questioning things to the surprise of his co-workers and boss. At episode's end, their latest bit of field work goes horribly wrong with devestating consequences that bring reality crashing down on Guy all over again.
Rated: PG-13 for strong, scary images, situations and violence.
