A Bit o Irish - Take Two

My name is Robert Craven & I am the author of the novel GET LENIN. I live in the town of Rush about 20 miles north of Dublin in Ireland. I spent 10 years in print publishing & graphic design before writing this novel. I drifted into writing after entering a writing competition in 1991 for a magazine called FTL & though not winning the prize, did get the story I submitted published.
For 10 years I was also a musician & kept tour diaries & from that I drafted my first novel ‘Vocals preferred, own transport essential’ - I went the usual route & received a lot of rejections, but learned the valuable lesson of never giving up. It was that experience I brought to writing, pitching & eventually getting the novel GET LENIN published.
I am married & have a son. My passions are painting, drawing, music and reading & I also work full-time.
