The Not So New Age With 2012 aficionados buzzing about the New World Age, many are just discovering "New Age" thoughts, shops, practices, therapies and gatherings. The Secret opened the door to "New Age" thinking for many people and the real secret is that it reflected only a rediscovery of some very long-lived concepts and teachings. Florence Scovel Shinn, born in 1871 wrote three metaphysical works in the early 1900's, her self-published The Game of Life and How to Play it in 1925.;Your Word is Your Wand, published in 1928 and The Secret Door to Success in 1940. A more famous contemporary of Shinn, Edgar Cayce began channeling in the early 1900's and is often referred to in Wiki as the father of the New Age Movement. Gregg Braden takes affirmative manifesting back to the Dead Sea Scrolls in his book The Lost Mode of Prayer. How's that for "Not So New?" Here we are approaching 2012 and the world of metaphysics and spiritual is still termed New Age. We open The Art of Living Well tonight to some experienced "New Age" professionals, who have been involved in the business of metaphysical and spiritual work for many years. Margaret Ann Lembo is the creator and owner of The Crystal Garden in Boynton Beach, FL. The full gamut of New Age books and accessories can be found in her shop from Egyptian deities to astrology, healing, runes, crystals, amulets, essential oils, Native American spirituality, Wiccan philosophy, Christian Saints, Jewish mysticism, animal communication and incense. Joan Ranquet, Animal Communicator will join us also. Both are wonderful examples of integrity in business and will share their success strategies with our listeners!
