“The Gentleman of Jazz”

James is one of L.A.’s most recognizable Jazz enthusiasts. He was an on-air personality with radio station KKJZ, 88.1FM (formerly KLON) from 1992 to 2006. His wide-ranging knowledge of Jazz filled the longest continuing shift on KKJZ, live, each weekday from midnight to 6AM. He has, for the last decade, been and continues to be the voice of Jazz on all United Airlines flights with “The World of Jazz” and “Jazz Beat”. He can currently be heard playing Jazz and Blues every weekday at noon (Pacific Time) on Internet radio site http://www.kebnradio.com/ and every Saturday at 6pm (PST) on internet radio site http://www.klasfm.com/ for the "Saturday Night Jazz & Blues Party", And he is one of the fill-in control board operators, program hosts, and staff announcers at 89.9FM KCRW.

His smooth voice and charming personality are often at the forefront of events related to Jazz, Gospel, The Blues and Rhythm & Blues, all across Southern California.
