The Hero's Journey - Otherwise Known as Your Life

Joseph Campbell identified for us the mythic hero's journey, the story arc for writers but more importantly the framework for any life. This is you, Anyman or Anywoman on earth in the midst of their ordinary looking human life, but really on a Hero's Journey. This is the big picture - which helps us understand just what the heck is really going on here. Perspective is a wonderful thing.

This episode begins a 12 week look at the Hero's Journey starting with The Ordinary Life which  finds our hero (your), uneasy, uncomfortable or perhaps unaware of his situation or dilemma against the background of environment, heredity, and personal history.  Of course there is some type of polarity in the hero’s life that is pulling in different directions and causing the stress (contrast) for choosing a new.
