Did you know once you have had either you can or will be denied life insurance or even health insurance because you are now listed as a high risk to have another medical emergency affecting the heart? The new medical standard for being classified as having high blood pressure is now 130 over 80 down from 140 over 90. The change means that 46 percent of US adults, many of them under the age of 45, now will be considered hypertensive. Under the previous guideline, 32 percent of US adults had high blood pressure.
