Talk DCX Sports – Game Day – Cowboys vs Giants
Now that Ezekiel Elliott is cleared to play, let’s talk about the First Game. It’s finally here everyone; football season is upon us. The season kicks off Sunday night for the Cowboys in what seems to be an annual opening game nowadays against the Giants in AT&T Stadium.
The Cowboys will be once again facing the tough Giants defense that they couldn’t beat last season, anchored by their rising star of a safety, Landon Collins. Collins had 100 tackles in 2016 he also intercepted five passes and had four sacks.
A player who is great at so many different things on the defensive side of the ball like Collins can cause problems for any offense, even one that is as talented as the Cowboys. Expect to hear Collins’ name called on Sunday for making big plays.
The Giants offense has a few explosive players themselves; however, I do see a weakness that the Cowboys will be able to exploit on Sunday. The Giants have a terrible offensive line, specifically their Right Tackle, Ereck Flowers.
If the Cowboy defenders can stuff the Giants running game like they did last December and force them into obvious passing situations I don’t see how Flowers can hold up against the defensive ends that will be facing him.
