This is I.T. (Inconvenient Truth) – Walking the Tight Rope of Life in Pain
In living with chronic pain, those in the pain community have to walk a tight rope of life while in pain. Many times, we failed to acknowledge we need a balance not only in how we live our life in pain and how we choose to speak about it to others. I know personally, I don’t share information about what I go through daily while living with pain nor do I talk about it openly with other whether in the pain community or those that do not live a life of pain. I know each of us have priorities in our lives and we choose those things which may or may not impact how we proceed with living life. I understand the importance of bringing awareness while I also understand that if my conversations only consisted on the level of pain or what I am not able to do can lead me down a dark path in which can lead to depression. I rather take time to do all that I can while I can even if it means it takes longer to accomplish or finish. The reward is that my self-esteem is lifted and I feel good about myself as an individual.
