September is Pain Awareness month for the Pain Community. One thing I, A.M. Styles have experienced on more than one occasion is being made to feel as if I don’t matter as a patient or an individual when dealing with doctors or insurance companies. Well tonight I am going to rant about my latest experience dealing with a scheduled procedure/ being treated as if my time isn’t worth the same as a doctor but I am billed as if they have done their job correctly and in a timely manner. How about being rejected for a “patient” study because your illness have been ongoing for a long time (years or decades)? Does this help in making those in pain feel as if anyone is truly listening?
