On April Fool’s Day 2000, while Angela was in Japan on military duty, her husband and four children were in a horrific car crash in California when their car fell 25 feet off the freeway, landing upside down on top of two parked vehicles with people inside.  Angela’s husband, their two daughters, and the people inside the parked vehicles survived.  Tragically, Angela and her husband's two 8 year-old sons died at the scene.  Angela experienced ache in the very depths of her soul but incredibly, and almost supernaturally, her sons left behind independent good-bye letters that gave her the very peace she needed to survive.  “Each letter answered specific questions that I would have wondered about for the rest of my life,” shares Angela.

Since retiring from the Air Force, and sustained by her strong faith, Angela authored an autobiography, Miracles in Action ~ Turning Pain into Power and Grief into Peace, followed by a film documenting her journey.  Join Lynda and Angie on Grief Diaries Radio on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, beginning at 6 pm pacific time as they talk with Angela about her journey on www.GriefDiaries.com.
