In the 1st hour, Candace interviews musician Jessie Funk. Jessie has shared her inspiring message and love of music with thousands of people from across the United States, Europe, Canada and Africa.  She has five solo albums, including “Dance in the Rain” – her first country CD.  She toured  36 states with the broadway musical “Footloose,” as a principle dancer and singer, performed for former Vice-President Dick Cheney, as an opening act for Donny Osmond, and toured with Broadway sensation Maureen McGovern. She's performed as a studio vocalist, including songs heard on TV’s “America’s Got Talent” and “The Biggest Loser.”  Also an author, Jessie has published  five books, her latest being especially for teens called, “It’s Your Life…Own It!” She has also been a professional speaker for 7 years, teaching and inspiring through her message of gratitude, celebrating life and defining your passions and purpose.  One of Jessie’s true passions is empowering teenage girls to remember their power.  She is so passionate about this cause that she has started a non-profit organization called “The Ivy Girl Academy,”  whose sole purpose is to provide workshops, life-coaching and other positive resources. 

Then in the second hour, sports personality Vai Sikahema joins Candace to talk sports and politics. Sports director/anchor Vai Sikahema can be seen weeknights on PHL17 News at Ten Powered by NBC 10. Sikahema continues to serve as sports director/anchor for NBC 10 News at 4, 5, 6 and 11 p.m. He joined WCAU in April 1994 and is also the host of "Wednesday's Child," a segment sponsored by the National Adoption Center, Freddie Mac Foundation, and NBC 10 to promote the adoption of children.
