I have been a local business owner is Houston Texas for 17 years. I began my career in the early 1990's during a time when women of all nationalities were becoming more aware and less tolerant of the damaging effects of chemicals and traditional styling methods for their hair. I set out to pursue my dream of owning a salon that specialized in braiding and natural hair care, which incorporated a business environment that not only promotes healthy hair, but healthy minds, bodies and spirits. I accomplished that through my Salon and by working in a well known College system, where I taught Hairweaving, Braiding and Natural Haircare. I am Godly proud to say that several successful natural hair care salons have come from that venture, ie Uncle Funky's Daughter, and Natural Resources just to name two. I now do personal and group seminars for motivated interested cosmetologist and the general public. Knowledge is powerful and I love sharing it with those that enjoy a challenge.
