Bronchitis infections are virus not bacteria Antibiotics Don't work.  Antibiotics kill only bacteria and poorly at that and have no effect on viral infections such as bronchitis, except to make the virus stonger.
 
Clinical studies have proven that antibiotics are useless for bronchitis and cause more harm than they do good. But doctors still prescribe antibiotics in 7 of 10 cases. It’s a fact that this overuse of antibiotics causes bacteria to adapt and develop resistance. This results in a growth of new antibiotic-resistant bacteria that give people life threatening infections.
