Professor Carol M. Swain has establish herself as one of the leading and most distinguished voices in both politics and academia today. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Roanoke College; a Master of Arts degree from Virginia Polytechnic & State University, 1984 and a Ph.D from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has also obtained a Masters in Studies in Law from Yale Law School and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She is the author of Black Faces, Black Interests: The Representation of African Americans in Congress, The New White Nationalism in America: Its Challenge to Integration, Contemporary Voices of White Nationalism, and the upcoming Broken Vows, Banished Virtues: Reclaiming America's Promise. She is a frequent guest on such shows as Hannity, Anderson Cooper, News House with Jim Lehrer; and has contributed to The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, and USA Today. She is currently a professor of political science and a professor of law at Vanderbilt University, and a member of the James Madison Society at Princeton University.
