Soccer is becoming one of the most popular sports in the United States and its popularity is growing rapidly.

This week we feature Scott Morrissey, Head Men’s Soccer Coach and Director of Compliance with the University of Rio Grande, on Wednesday June 6, 2012 at 4:00 on our Podcasting Network Channel.

Morrissey assumed the head coaching position at Rio Grande in September of 1989.  He has taken what was a fledgling program and transformed into a national powerhouse. During his 23 year career as Rio Grande’s Head coach Morrissey has amassed 312 wins.  He has guided Rio Grande to eight consecutive NAIA National Tournaments, four semi-final appearances (2001, 2003, 2008, 2009), two national title game appearances (2003, 2008) and one NAIA National Championship (2003).
