Zenlarge,  rapper out of Cary North Carolina.  He enjoys listening to all kinds of music, but the music that I most like to make is jazz-hop: blending hip hop vocals with jazz and funk music. One thing that makes him unique is the only rapper in the world who plays the Linnstrument.  The Linnstrument is an expressive midi controller developed by the legendary Roger Linn.    The linnstrument is an electronic instrument.

He uses the linnstrument to make beats and to take solos.  While musical instrument solos are very common in jazz music, and 100% of the time the solo is done with an instrument other than the linnstrument!  No one else is doing what he is doing.

He started playing music as early as first grade when my mom signed me up for piano lessons.

As a teenager, He started playing bass guitar.  I played in a handful of bands, but none of them made it out of the garage.  Then in college I discovered jazz.  He joined the University of Toledo Jazz Band, where for the first time in my life he learned music theory and began playing with serious and highly skilled musicians.

After graduating from college, formed a funk fusion band, bringing with me the best musicians knew from the University Jazz Band.   Made some great music as played the bar scene in Toledo Ohio. In early 2019 began rapping.  Started off doing karaoke, I quickly realized I wanted to make my own hip-hop music.  He combined my rap vocals with beats and solos and made using the linnstrument, and Zenlarge was born!   He hosts a vlog and podcast called the "Zenlarge Show".  In each episode, He shares tips. His purpose in life is to grow and to help others grow. The vlog can be found on Facebook and youtube.
