Sunday Morning Kingdom, "Let the Truth Set You Free"

To experience real freedom the truth must be present.  Living through or with a lie only gives you a perception or illusion of what is real or not real.  How would you truly know what is real?  Our lives are never discovered because we do not know what is real nor what power we truly have.  Do these jeans make me look fat?  No they don’t is the answer handed to many people because a lie is easier to tell someone than the truth.  Granted we do not want to hurt anyone’s feelings or offend anyone, but when they step out wearing those jeans, they can rip or tear, or have the person humiliated because no one was willing to tell them the truth.

So is the same for God’s word.  Many have been handed a watered down version of the truth about God, Jesus, and His kingdom.  There are also cases where people do not even know what His will is nor what that means to them.  Many want to spend an eternity with the father and have abundant life through Christ but don’t know the truth on how to get there and what it looks like. There has been a doctrine or covetousness passed off as the truth.  Now instead of us being created by God and for His purpose, we believe the truth is that God’s will is to support our demands and actions, and give us everything our heart desire, no matter how greedy or selfish that may be.

An insatiable greed for riches; to desire excess, miserly desire to gain and hoard wealth.  The application of truth in your life grants you the freedom to minister, love, and live according to God’s way and will. Apply truth to your life and allow the truth to make you free.
