Do You Really Trust Him
Now days the statements, “I’m saved, “My trust is in the Lord” are used so loosely that it has become just mouth service or a religious cliché? Anybody that confesses to be a Christian can comfortably say that they trust the Lord when they have a bank account full of money and everything is going their way. But can the same thing be said if they had a total of 50 cents in their bank account(s) and things are not going the way they want or expect them to go?
When we confess that Jesus is our LORD that statement carries a lot of weight. We are basically saying that HE owns us. When someone is Lord over something they own it. For example, a landlord owns land. If you are renting an apartment or a house and something happens to the property, like a leak or the roof fall in then you as the tenant would call the landlord. The landlord in turn would take care of the problem. You wouldn’t have to worry about paying any expenses towards the problem, because the responsibility would be to the lord of the property.
Therefore if we confess that Jesus is our LORD then why do we worry? Why do we stress? Why do we doubt Him? If you realize that you are worrying, stressing, and doubting when you should be trusting then ask yourself “Do I Really Trust Him”?
