A good portion of our community is currently subject to the welfare system, whether it be food stamps, social security, medicare or something else. Is this a good thing or bad? Can people on welfare truly engage in the revolutionary struggle if they depend on that check to come every month. What if it stops? Not to mention the psychological tethering it creates for people who see it as their means to an end. They get comfortable and refuse to do things for themselves, but let us not talk like conservatives. Can people use welfare for their benefit and still build a thriving community and prosperous future for their kids.
