THE ZONE with Dev: Celebrating the lives of two music icons

Tonight's topics:

   We will be celebrating the the lives, and legacies of 2 music icons. Don Cornelius, and David peaston. Whom both passed away this week. Don Cornelius, creator and host of “Soul Train,” a milestone in television programming that introduced generations of viewers to new music and dance trends emerging from black America, died Feb. 1 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Los Angeles, according to police. He was 75.

David Peaston died on Wednesday. He was 54.
His cause of death has not been released. Peaston's longtime battle with diabetes led to the amputation of both his legs, beginning with his right leg in 2004. Peaston, known for a high-piercing falsetto that was unmatched, was a winner at "Showtime at the Apollo," where he got his big break, and found national fame with hits such as "Can I" and "Two Wrongs (Don't Make a Right)."
His albums include 1989's "Introducing...David Peaston" and 1991's "Mixed Emotions."
