The Tea Party has mobilized closed ranks and will be heard this November. Where are we? Will WE be heard this August? Has the advent of a Black President made us complacent? Do You feel we've "overcome?" The tragic and outrageously criminal murders of Oscar Grant and Ayana Jones has shown us that Black life STILL doesn't matter to them or us. The Leadership in the NAACP condemned Shirly Sherrod without benefit of due process and the leadership was not condemned by us. Why do we tolerate the "N-word" and the corresponding "pants-below-your-ass misogynistic culture built around it? What happened to prime-time television for Black people? Why are there only TWO Black anchors on major news shows? History has shown and continues to show that when we let down our guard, we lose ground.
