An exercise in Grade 10 Civics

Meet Taylor Alderdice a student at Nelson High School in Burlington, Ontario. Their Grade 10 Civics class has been assigned a project called The Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI).

For this project they have to select Rotary Club of Oakville West as their grassroots charity and are gathering information on how RCOW helps within the community. They want to interview, learn and become involved in one of the RCOW events.

Once they have gathered all the information about RCOW, they will produce a slide show for their class. Their intention is that the presentation is going to be the most amazing of all the presentations from all of the Civics classes. If it is, they move on to the semi finals, then into a head to head battle for a chance to win $5000.00 for the Rotary Club of Oakville West!
